The LHS boys soccer team got off to a great start this season. With a mix of breathtaking goals, spectacular saves, and well-coordinated teamwork, the soccer team put on a show for all schools and once again are proof of the withstanding talent Lawrence soccer players have.

The boys team ended the season with 11 wins, 9 losses, and 1 tie. The team had decisive victories over Ewing, Hamilton West, Princeton Day, Hopewell Valley, Trenton, Allentown, West Windsor Plainsboro North, Jackson Memorial, Nottingham, and Delaware Valley with scores of 7-3, 3-1, 5-1, 4-3, 3-2, 3-1, 7-2, 1-0, 2-1, and 7-1 respectively. Additionally, the team beat Allentown in the first round of the Colonial Valley Conference Tournament with a score of 3-2. However, the team did encounter defeat by some of the most competitive and talented schools in the state such as West-Windsor Plainsboro South, Westfield, Steinert, Haddonfield, Notre Dame, Robbinsville, and Princeton.

Moreover, the team’s run was put to an end by Steinert in the second round of the Colonial Valley Conference Tournament along with a first round defeat in the NJSIAA Tournament by Burlington Township. The team also pulled off a tie against Hightstown with a score of 2-2. Starting the season off with a few lost close matches, the team locked in and redeemed themselves in the second half of the season, showcasing their ability to bounce back, fight, and never back down.

One of the team’s players, junior Juan Revolorio, shared his thoughts on the team’s performance: We’ve had our ups and downs, but I know we have what it takes to really stand out in the upcoming matches.” Team captain senior Travis Schubert claims “We had a great run this season, and with me graduating this year, I hope the boys can lead the team to success.”

With the end of the season, players from the team are looking back at their performance.  They sure must be proud of the way they performed. With the players looking forward to next year’s season, I have no doubt that they will succeed. I wish the team good luck for the years to come and I believe they will continue to rise victorious. Go Cardinals!
