This month, we are featuring one of Lawrence High School’s newest teachers: Mr. Connor Hogan! Mr. Hogan is twenty-five years old.  He grew up in Springfield, New Jersey, where he always “loved math and numbers.”  This passion encouraged him to attend Grand Canyon University where he majored and earned his degree in marketing.

Before coming to teach at Lawrence High School, Mr. Hogan was a bit unsure of what to do with his marketing degree.  After he graduated college, he began working as a substitute teacher at Northern Burlington High School, and eventually, he began assistant coaching there for their various sports teams. Along with his growing enjoyment as a substitute teacher, the football team’s coach convinced him to become a full-time teacher.

A short time later, Mr. Hogan was hired at Lawrence High School as a Business teacher. This year, he teaches Personal Finance, Foundations of Business, and International Business. He is hopeful to begin teaching Sports Marketing and Management next year. As this is his first job as a full-time teacher, Mr. Hogan has thoroughly enjoyed teaching here at Lawrence.  He says he enjoys “the relationship you build with the students and staff” and the “camaraderie you build while teaching.”

Mr. Hogan likes to keep an organized schedule and flow, arriving at school every day at 7 AM, teaching in the morning, having lunch with his colleagues, doing some more teaching in the afternoon, and then finishing his day, when in season, coaching baseball.  Outside of school, Mr. Hogan is a big sports guy.  He roots for and watches the Yankees, Flyers, Cowboys, and Leeds United.

We are so happy to have Mr. Hogan here at Lawrence High School! Best of luck with the rest of the school year, Mr. Hogan!
