The LHS Theater Company is kicking off the year strong! Their Theater Mixer on September 10th brought on many newcomers and announced their productions for this year. This November, the LHS Theater Company will be performing Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, starring the company’s president and vice-president, seniors Josh Kriegel and Darcy Jammer as Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet. We have no doubt that they will do the famous classic book and author justice!

“The most exciting part about this year's upcoming productions are the unique technical opportunities both shows will provide, on stage and off stage,” says junior Rowan Drunkenbrod, a first time officer of the Theatre Company. “The shows each have qualities that many members of the company have yet to work with and will likely draw them out of their comfort zone in a positive manner, challenging both cast and crew to refine their abilities and become closer as we navigate the productions.”

As a new officer (historian), Rowan plays a unique role while supporting the company and shows. “As an officer, my main goal is to be an outlet to provide for the cast and crew. I want to ensure that I am always available to answer their questions and validate their concerns. I seek to help maintain a welcoming environment within the company, as being friendly and open is a necessary part of being someone in an officer position. I view all members of the cast and crew as amazing individuals, and as a leader in the company, it is my job to reflect that and maintain my role as a guide and someone who will always work for the betterment of LHS theater.”

Rowan continues to reflect: “By far the most enjoyable aspect of theater at LHS is the community. I have met the most kind and wonderful individuals through the company, throughout each and every performance it is as though we form a new family. I admire and respect every member of the company so much, as it is thanks to the dedication and passion of every individual that we are able to establish such lasting bonds through every incredible show.”
