LHS’s Fall Picnic and Club Fair were both a tremendous success! Red & White, with help from their advisor, Mr. Kamp, created and hosted two fun and exciting beginning-of-the-year events. The Fall Picnic allowed students to have fun on the football field, play games, and simply socialize and meet new people with similar interests. At the Club Fair, many of LHS’s clubs and organizations were set up along the edge of the track. Students were able to learn about many of the interesting and diverse extracurriculars our school has to offer.

Many students enjoyed the opportunities that each of these events offered. When asked what she enjoyed about the picnic, freshman Norah Schmidt shared, “I like the freedom and being able to connect with everyone. Connecting with others, especially with being in classrooms all day. And getting to go outside.”

No matter the occasion, our connection is important. Being able to spend time outside with friends, instead of inside a classroom, is essential. Events like these help fortify our LHS community and school spirit. We are grateful to Red & White for giving us this opportunity to spend time outdoors on the football field with one another, and to explore the many ways to get involved in the school community.
