The Lawrence High School wrestling team demonstrated determination and skill throughout the 2024-25 season, finishing with an 18-10 overall record and a 3-3 standing in the Colonial Valley Conference - Valley Division. Under the guidance of Head Coach Chris Lynne, the team showcased a blend of experienced seniors and promising underclassmen. Senior heavyweight Samuel Moffett led the squad with an impressive 18-1 record, while freshman Ivan Yaltukhovskyi made a notable debut at 215 lbs, achieving a 31-6 record. The Cardinals' balanced lineup contributed to their competitive edge, with standout performances from junior Steven Ham (35-8 at 132 lbs) and sophomore James Lyons (29-10 at 175 lbs). The team's efforts culminated in a strong showing at the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 3 quarterfinals, where they faced tough competition. Both Samuel Moffett and freshman Stella Kramer respectively earned the Boys’ and Girls’ CVC Champion title.
