Fall Arts Fest 2026
Written by: Prashitha Kanipaku and Abigail Penna (‘29)

After months of preparation, Lawrenceville Mainstreet hosted their annual Fall Arts Festival on October 10th. Safe to say, it was another successful gathering of our community to support local businesses, artists and artisans. From Weeden park to Lawrenceville Elementary School, the streets were lined with food trucks, performers and vendor tents.
Lawrence High School was definitely represented at the festival this year. Students Helping Honduras held their stand per usual, raising awareness and funds for their continued goal of alleviating poverty for Honduras youth. Our LHS students, Will Stern, Skyler Kimball, and Yegor Yarovenko played in their band, Tension. Our very own French teacher, Madame Salehi, had a stand selling her fall decor. Last but definitely not least, all the student volunteers that made the event possible each brought their specialities!

None of this could have been possible without the Lawrenceville Mainstreet team who worked to organize this event. Lawrenceville Mainstreet is a non-profit organization that works to bring together various people to celebrate all that Lawrenceville has to offer. From planning various events such as Music in the Park during the summer, Meet Santa, and promoting restaurant week, Lawrenceville Mainstreet truly works their hardest to ensure their featured events effectively enhance our community.
Executive director Kelly Edelstein described how she felt this year’s event went, noting “We had beautiful weather, and Main Street was full of talented artists, crafters and musicians, plus some improv and even a poet. We are so grateful to the more than 70 high school volunteers from Lawrence High School, Notre Dame High School and The Lawrenceville School who helped us pull the day together. Events like this happen because the whole community shows up.”
Overall this year’s fall arts fest was truly memorable! People were able to showcase their work, enjoy with friends and family, and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. This event will continue to be an annual occurrence that you don’t want to miss. Want to be a vendor next year, student or adult? Reach out to anyone at the Lawrenceville Main Street team or any of the interns (Abigail Penna, Prashitha Kanipaku or J.T. Mullen) for any additional information/questions. Applications for registration will open soon for the Spring Arts Fest that will be happening in May. See you then!
