Lawrence Cardinals 2025 Football season has turned some heads thus far, as they’ve excelled and currently are looking to finish their season with a 6-4 record. This would be their best record since 2016, when they finished 7-3. Unfortunately, the Cardinals have missed out on a playoff berth, but that doesn’t take away from their memorable season.

The Cardinals losses have come to four teams that are in the state playoffs, those teams being Burlington City, Princeton, Bordentown, and Pennsville Memorial. The highlight of the Cardinals season was winning 49-14 on the road against Pemberton, and winning 52-0 at home on Senior Night against West Windsor. A major part of the Cardinals success has come from Senior Captains Tyler Duncan, Francis Gage, Isaiah Grier, and Zane Spencer, alongside their phenomenal Junior Running Back James Lyons.

We interviewed Senior Captain Center and Defensive Tackle Tyler Duncan, and here’s what he had to say about his favorite part of being a Cardinal: “The community and brotherhood we built the last 4 years, it’s been awesome.” He also became famous throughout the Lawrence community for a huge interception returned for a touchdown in the win at Pemberton. Here’s what he had to say about his moment: “They call it a ‘Thick Six’, and that was the only touchdown I’ve ever scored in my football career. That’s a story that I will tell my children and will never forget”.

The Cardinals finish the year facing Riverside on the road and a home game against Nottingham. The Cardinals are very hopeful to finish 6-4 this season, and build towards a new winning culture in this school.
